I have been in the insurance industry since 1979. I was the founding President and President for 2 years for the Austin Womens Life Underwriters Gold Chapter in 1981. It was the first chapter formed in Texas. My husband, Pitt and I own Austin Brokerage Company and have been in Austin since 1981. Pitt has been in insurance for 37 years and grew up in Austin.

We specialize in small group and individual health insurance as well as life and disability income. We take our clients needs very seriously and service is what sets us apart from the competition. Over 98% of our new business comes from referrals. We take care of claim and billing problems for our clients, so they refer family and friends and clients.

We are involved with organizations that include Physicians, Attorneys and several Chamber of Commerce groups and eWomen Network, which allow us to keep our pulse on what is happening in business with employers and also what is affecting physicians and their services.

Women's needs are special to me because I came into the insurance business when there were very few women and know how hard it is to find someone who understands the uniqueness of being a woman in business, especially in Texas. I love what I do and enjoy making long-time friendships with a lot of my clients. I am the mother of 4 and grandmother of 9 and my husband and I have been married 37 years and worked together for over 25 years.
